About Me

After starting my UX career 5 years ago, I can say that I still love to create impactful interactions in a variety of ways. Even though I’ve managed to pick up many soft skills quickly, my passion has been what I’ve managed to always bring with me no matter where I’m at in life. Being able to study Psychology during undergrad while also being a Marketing Assistant for my university is a great example of me feeding both the scientific and humanitarian sections of my mind. I love being able to analyze behavior patterns to formulate a meaningful experience for someone to interact with. Attending the VCU Brandcenter also had a major impact on my life and professional career. Prototyping and testing new concepts has been very fulfilling, but I’m also able to wear multiple hats during a product development cycle.

Capabilities

Strategy

Even though my background is eclectic, I always love to do research and dig for that insight that will go on to fuel a creative direction. My mad scientist side is always analytical and curious.

Prototyping

I enjoy tinkering with new and old concepts to see different potential uses. The process of going through design iterations and testing the best parts is a lot of fun.

Interaction Design

Being able to dissect a touchpoint and see how it leaves an impression on a viewer is very fulfilling to me. I love being able to analyze why and how experiences can leave a visceral memory in someone's mind.

Hobbies

Photography

My first introduction into being a creative was when I purchased my first DSLR in 2013. It's been my first love ever since, and has motivated me to pursue more forms of artistic expressions as both a profession and hobby.

Anime

Reading manga and watching anime has been apart of my biology since I was watching Dragon Ball Z with my brothers when we shared a room as kids. This affinity has stuck with me throughout middle school up to today, and I still find time to digest anime throughout my week or weekend.

Archery

A friend of mine actually gave me a bow and arrow in high school because I always mentioned how I loved to watch archery videos on Youtube. After this act of kindness, I decided to periodically go out to the woods to practice my marksmanship.

Car Enthusiast

I have loved the automotive world since I first watched Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift. Even though I have never raced cars, I will attend drifting events at the Richmond Raceway on Sundays if I have the time. My friend group are major car guys so that also influenced me to be more intrigued by Japanese Imports.

Video Games

The first items I can actively remember receiving as a child were a Pikachu stuffed animal and a Gameboy Color. These two items definitely solidified my future as a gaming enthusiast, and even today I still purchase every current generation gaming console.
